I ended up doing an example of all three.... I thought it was a really interesting exercise. It certainly taught me the principles of the color wheel to walk around my house and go "all hues of the same color" "opposite each other... is red and blue opposite? No, red and GREEN...."
Below is monochrome. That means it is all hues of the same color; obviously, in this case, the color is green
Below are examples of a complimentary color scheme. This means the colors are directly opposite each other on the color wheel.
I love your complementary pictures, the first one looks so appetizing and the second one is really cool how you edited! I like the simplicity of your analogous color scheme - using the bottles is pretty cool, I wouldn't have thought of that, nice work!

I really like the analogous one! The bottles are almost luminescent and since they are all translucent, they definitely fit the theme!
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, the flower one isnt edited... we have black mulch :)
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the watermelon cookies! I almost did the same thing! But then decided to use the real thing! I love the colors of the bottles next to one another....they do work well together as expected! Great Job!
ReplyDeleteI love your monochrome color shot, and the analogus colors their so sharp and vivid. Good Job.
ReplyDeleteNice work. The cookies are neon......are they real?
ReplyDeleteInspiration can come from anywhere......
Cookies are real.... they were watermelon cookies, and they even tasted like watermelon!
