I started with hubs and I REALLY on vacation, just a weekend in NH recently...
Yelled across the room "hey babe, if you could go on vacation anywhere RIGHT NOW, where would you go?"
"Costa Rica".
*Shrugs* "Ok, lets go to Costa Rica!"

Hahaha! Great set up. It is fun to see what we can do to manipulate. Hmmmm, maybe I whould go to Italy?
ReplyDeleteGood job with the selection! It looks like you have that mastered-
ReplyDeleteSam,
ReplyDeleteThis is a real stepping stone for all of us.
This was a very clever idea. I want to go
too.. Angela
Fantastic idea, and good job on selecting just the two of you and keeping the gap between you open! The one thing that might come in handy, (if you're using Photoshop,) when you select something you can go to Select>Refine Edge and smooth out, blur, and blend the line between images to fit them together more smoothly. From there you can also use the eraser tool to remove any very obvious chunks left inside your select field. I have no idea how to do this in GIMP, though...but I'm sure there is an equivalent.
ReplyDeleteI was looking forward to doing stuff like this, but I still can't figure it out in GIMP. It is definitely has a very basic program feel to it. If I can figure out to get a free version of photoshop, I think I may enjoy that better....Looks like you had a great time! :)
ReplyDeletethank you all- and thank you SARAH! I knew there must be a way to do it, but I couldnt figure it out, and wasnt sure exactly what I was looking for- so I couldnt look it up :D
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea and really good execution. And Sarah, awesome advice. This is the kind of interaction I was hoping the class would come to.
ReplyDeleteKeep playing!
